Mumbai

The Mumbai branch was the first branch to start. It was found in 2010 and has been going strong since then. The school which the Plugged In club is established in, is the American School of Bombay (ASB); the school, our club teaches at is Jagarnath Shankar Municipal School (Sadly No Abbreviation). We have now thaught three batches of 10-11th grade students, and have started on our fourth batch.

We are looking to expand to a school in Bandra, as the school we currently teach at is located in South Bombay. If you are interested in starting the club at your school, or are a school who would like our club to teach your students, feel free to contact us.

Lubumbashi

This branch started in the beginning of July in 2014 as a summer workshop. Since Lubumbashi doesn't have several international schools, Plugged In is associated with a company; the company's name is Vinmart Foundation. We started working with the children of the staff who work in one of Vinmart Foundation's group companies. The total number of students being taught is twenty. We are currently teaching in an office owned by a group company of Vinmart Foundation; the company's name is Solutions 4 Africa.

We have tied up with two schools now; one named Ecole Technique Kisengo, and the other Notredame de Travail. Teaching in these schools will start in September when the official school year starts. We may only work with one school as of now, due to the lack in teachers and resources, so if you would like to volunteer and teach or are willing to donate any material, please contact us.

Vadodara

Officially started in the beginning of August in 2014. The club is associated with Navrachna Secondary High School, and is teaching at Daffodils English Medium School. We have several Plugged In members in this area, and along with that an equvilent number of students to match them.

Since this branch is completely new, the fundraising club will soon be starting to organize events and fundraisers. If you could in anyway help please contact us and we will get back to you immediately.

Expansion

This committee is looking to obviously expand the club, but not only in terms of the number of Plugged In clubs there are but also the members in each club. Expansion needs to reel in potential members and target people who will actually be good at teaching digital literacy or somehow contributing to the club.
